Rahul Dravid was named captain of a full series the first time in Oct 1995 for the one-day international home series against Sri Lanka and South Africa. The stylish Karnataka batsman took over from Sourav Ganguly, who was nursing an elbow injury. India have won 17 of their 22 one-dayers under Dravid's captaincy till April 16th 2006 while left-hander Yuvraj Singh recorded a hat-trick of man of the series awards.
