His spell of 10 wickets for 74 runs has gone down as the second best bowling figures ever in cricketing history according to the new Wisden 100 rating. Equaling Jim Laker's 10 wicket haul of 42 years was no mean task, but Kumble did it with the lan and grace of true fighter.
