Dwayne Smith rips through India
Sep 20, 2006
A masterful half-century from Sachin Tendulkar has not been enough to save India from slumping to 162 all out in its DLF Cup match against the West Indies in Malaysia.
Dwayne Smith was the chief destroyer for the West Indies, claiming 4-31 from his 10 overs including captain Rahul Dravid (0), Virender Sehwag (one) and Yuvraj Singh (0).
Tendulkar was the mainstay of the Indian innings with 65 runs from 102 balls, before he was run out by Chris Gayle.
He was one of only two batsmen to progress past 20 - the other being spinner Harbhajan Singh (37) - as the team could only bat through 39.3 overs.
Tendulkar and Harbhajan put on 76 runs before the latter was caught behind by wicketkeeper Carlton Baugh from the bowling of Gayle.

Windies upbeat for India re-match today
Sep 20, 2006
India will find themselves up against a rejuvenated West Indies side as they seek their first win of the tri-series tournament in Malaysia on Wednesday. And having already qualified for next Sunday's final has given them a major lift ahead of the Champions Trophy in India, where they will have to pre-qualify despite being the defending champions.
Chappell, meanwhile, said he was disappointed about the fact that Indians could not play a full game so far in the series which was important to fathom the level of their preparations.
Australia won the opening match over West Indies last Tuesday by 77 runs; West Indies beat India last Thursday by 29 runs under the Duckworth-Lewis Method; and the third match between Australia and India ended in a no-result because of rain.
